Martin Marietta's Arizona team aids home for abused children

Chuck Trost, Jaime Rivas, Steve Trinci, Jon Frey, Janet Olson, Joe Fletcher and Maggie Smith work with Janet Olson of Natalie’s House to fill in a new sand box for victims of abuse.

The Hassayampa Sand & Gravel team, along with Maggie Smith, a member of the Arizona sales team, donated and helped place sand in a sandbox at Natalie’s House, an eight-bed home that offers a safe haven for girls ages 6 to 16 who are recovering from abuse.

“I appreciate that Martin Marietta strongly emphasizes community relations and allows us to lend a hand to those in need,” said Area Production Manager Joe Fletcher. “I look forward to a great relationship with Natalie’s House and to helping out whenever we are needed.”

Hassayampa Leadperson Chuck Trost said he cares deeply about the issue of child abuse. “It hits really close to home for me,” he said. “Every child deserves love, encouragement, peace and innocence. I would encourage everyone to give what they can to places like Natalie’s House.”
