Cayce Quarry sponsors community street fair

South Carolina’s Cayce Quarry sponsored  the Soiree on State, a street fair that took place directly in front of the operation’s property. Office Manager Leigh Ann Cornwell led Martin Marietta’s participation in the April event and said the planning team had one main goal in mind. 

“Many folks don’t know that we are Martin Marietta. They just call us ‘the quarry,’” she said. “Our goal is to let everyone know that we’re here for them if they need anything and that we’re happy to be an active part of this community.” 

Plant Manager Justin Nelson agreed, noting that education was a big part of the day. 

“We really wanted to come out here, answer questions and hopefully change any misconceptions,” he said. “But we also wanted to take a little bit of time just to enjoy the  Cayce community.”
